ECO Bricks Demonstration & Partnership
The AFSIVA Green Team and AFSIVA students have agreed to work with local partners (Pharmacy Solution and Christine Graham) to create ECO Bricks for the Harlem Park Community local urban gardens. Plastic bottle bricks also known as "ECO Bricks" are simple to create out of everyday plastic. These bricks are created by filling the bottles with trash, sand, dirt, and plastic bags. bottle bricks are used to create artwork, build houses, school buildings, and other structures in other parts of the world. These brick creations help to reduce the amount of plastics that end up in landfills and in the bay. If these Eco bricks are created and use correctly it can prevent plastic pollution.
